eCOMMERCE LOGISTICS MANAGER
Role & Responsibilities
- Logistics Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with our ecommerce business objectives. Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and storage, ensuring optimal stock availability to meet customer demands while minimizing holding costs. Collaborate with suppliers and warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Shipping and Fulfilment: Coordinate the shipping and fulfilment process to ensure timely and accurate order processing. Work closely with carriers and logistics partners to optimize delivery times and costs.
- Last-Mile Delivery: Implement and manage last-mile delivery solutions to improve delivery speed and customer satisfaction. Monitor last-mile performance metrics and address any issues promptly.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and shipping, minimizing errors and improving order accuracy.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws for international shipments. Stay updated on shipping regulations and implement necessary changes in logistics operations.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to assess logistics performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and services.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the procurement, customer support, and operations teams to align logistics activities with overall business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement in logistics operations, fostering innovative ideas and best practices to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Skills, Education & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in Logistics management, preferably within the ecommerce industry, with a track record of optimizing supply chain operations.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics principles, shipping procedures, and inventory management practices.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data and using insights to make informed logistics decisions.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality control in logistics processes.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving ecommerce environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
