We are looking for a Logistics Manager to manage our logistics team and ensure they deliver a compliant and customer focussed service that is cost effective as well as sustainable.
- Oversee global logistics ensuring cost & time efficient delivery of sampling kits & return of environmental samples.
- Manage import/export customs procedures.
- Make sure service is compliant with UK & international government regulations.
- Investigate any problems & optimise transportation routes for the company.
- Monitor efficiency & leverage data for performance evaluation & planning improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data is available to maximise performance.
- Build effective relationships with external stakeholders.
- Manage risk & develop innovative solutions to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Coach & develop your team to deliver a world class service.
About you
- Significant experience in logistics industry gained in a variety of environments
- Knowledge of international compliance for handling of biological material
- Up to date Customs declaration knowledge.
- Experience of Cites, Nagoya, DEFRA.
- Experience working with government agencies to obtain permits.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Logistics associated qualifications (CILT & CIPS).
- Experience with logistics in South America.
- Excellent relationship development & project management skills.
- Used to working with freight agents & third-party providers.
