We have an exciting new opportunity for an Education Coordinator to join Landau. The successful candidate will provide efficient coordination of the day to day running of the Education programmes as well as provide operational management of the programmes to ensure we have the right resources in place to effectively run the programmes and to ensure that they run smoothly day to day with a focus on learners achievement and welfare
- Work closely Management to provide co-ordination of effective operation of the Programmes.
- Work with management to plan and programme in the timetable for the academic year.
- Lead on the setup and attendance of meetings with third party organisations to include virtual schools and PEP meeting for looked after children.
- Monitor attendance, behavior and performance to meet the programme targets and polices through regular case conference meetings with the teaching staff
- Manage the support staff to actively monitor their progress and the day to day line management of teaching staff to include sickness/holidays
- Be the first point of contact for parents and or carers to ensure they get any relevant correspondence
- Ensure the exams are planned in and booked each year with the support of the administration staff
- Monitor the quality and timely completion of learners EHCP reviews.
- Work closely with other coordinators to oversee the arrangements for external examinations for awarding bodies and disseminating feedback to the team.
- Participate in the consistent learning walks at least once per term for every tutor,Higher level Teaching assistants and learning support assistants.
- Oversee OTL’s for Tutors in line with observation and teaching policy
- Review the year on a page and take responsibility for the operational areas and looking at enrichment activities for students with the support of the tutors
- Plan key events and plan in key dates across the year, ensuring you liaise with the marketing team to share on social media and newsletters
- To work as part of the wider Landau management team, providing reports and management information, deputising as required, and contributing actively to the continued success of the organisation
- To provide flexible support and cover where reasonably required, so that service standards are maintained at the highest level, and continuity of service is assured, developing solutions to obstacles, demonstrating a positive approach and team ethos
- To monitor and review the MIS system (CogniSoft) in the department, liaising with the QA team where needed for updates and reviews
- Regularly review staff CPD, Develop mechanisms for the identification, dissemination and sharing of good practice across the study programme delivery team
- Act as designated Safeguarding officer (DSO)
- Provide cover for other coordinator roles in their absence during periods of holiday, sickness and lunch breaks.
- Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required in the position according to the needs of the business

SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
- Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, Level 5 AET) or other Education related degree. (Essential)
- Assessor & IQA qualifications (Desirable)
- Designated Safeguarding Officer training (Desirable)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a similar role (Essential)
- Experience of managing a team (Essential)
- Experience of working with SEND students (Essential)
- Excellent knowledge of the SEND code of practice (Desirable)

The post holder may be required from time to time to undertake other duties, not specifically mentioned in this job description, but within levels of their salary scale
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 per annum
