I am excited to be working with a Global Chemical Manufacturer across Europe and America, who are looking for an EHS Coordinator to join their site in Heywood. Your new role
This role is a stand-alone role. You will be the lead on all HSE matters on site and drive and maintain legal compliance with HSE legislation at Heywood and support legal compliance for Inplants. You will work closely with line management with the implementation of new or existing HSE related legislation, procedures and company standards to ensure legal compliance, stakeholder requirements are met and risks are managed.
Some of your responsibilities will include;
- To support the implementation and to maintain a HSE Management system which is integrated into the Management System and meets the requirements of ISO 14001 and 45001
- Ensure that Risk Assessments including COSHH and manual handling are completed and maintained
- Implement and maintain the HSE Policy, processes and guidelines
- To support the achievement of the HSE strategy, objectives and KPIs
- To drive continuous improvement in relation to HSE
- To support the functional managers in ensuring they understand HSE legal requirements, HSE procedures
What you 'll need to succeed
- You will have previous Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment, experience of working with chemicals is desirable.
- NEBOSH as a minimum qualification
- Experience of maintaining ISO 14001 and 45001
- Must be hands-on and willing to work at all levels, from being on the shop floor and working alongside all employees, doing administrative tasks, conducting training

This role is single site and office based. Due to the environment of the role, there isn 't hybrid working but can be flexible with working hours.
- Company bonus of up to 7.5% and 10% for Managers
- Pension contribution of up to 7%
- 33 days holiday (25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays) goes up 1 day every 3 years and is capped at an extra 5 days
