About us and the role

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable and self-motivated person to join the Children Missing Education and Elective Home Education Team as a Home EducationCase Worker at Warwickshire County Council. 

 

You will be responsible for a caseload of families that have chosen Home Education for their child/children.  You will need to have a friendly and understanding approach as well as an open mind to what Home Education can look like for a child.  You will be expected to work within the local authority’s processes around Home Education as well as interfacing with schools and internal/external agencies to ensure the best educational outcome for each child.  Experience of working in an educational setting and/or social care would be advantageous but not essential.

 

Key requirements

 

  • As this post is agile-working, you need to be self-motivated and solution focused although there is a good team to offer advice and support where needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a range of people is essential.
  • We are looking for someone with a flexible, can do attitude and with the ability to deal with high volumes of varied activities without being deterred. 

 

This role will be on either an internal secondment until March 31st 2025, or a fixed term contract until March 31st 2025.
