Job Details

1 x full-time permanent post working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday based at Fife House in Glenrothes. The hours of work are 8:48am to 5:00pm.

1 x part-time permanent post working 20 hours per week over Monday to Friday based at Fife House in Glenrothes.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly skilled individuals to provide front line customer and administrative support within the Electoral Services team.

The postholder will be responsible for updating the Electoral Management Software system to accurately reflect electoral registration and voting details of all eligible electors, whilst dealing with enquiries from members of the public through telephone and email enquiries. The post involves a variety of administrative duties, including a high level of data input/retrieval, documentation processing and filing so attention to detail is important.

As an Electoral Services Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Administrative Officer – Electoral Services.

Qualifications, Registration and Skills Requirements

  • You are required to have a good level of interpersonal skills and abilities which will enable you to work as a member of a team and provide a regular and effective service.
  • Educated to SCQF level 4, including English and Maths (e.g. National 4, Standard Grades at General Level or O Grades).
  • Experience of working in an office using computer-based applications to carry out a range of duties.
  • Good IT skills.
