Team/Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking professional to take on the role of Data Governance Lead within our Data Services organization.
Data Services is a foundational part of the Data, Digital and Innovation (DDI) product organisation within Securities Services. DDI clients are Securities Services lines of business including Custody, Funds, Execution, and Issuer services and also, the business aligned technology and operations teams. Finally, DDI delivers core services for business clients (institutional).
What you'll do
You will be responsible for the governance model insupporting Data Services including management Review Forums; Management reporting to various internal bodies e.g. Digital First and the DDI Management Business Reviews; Planning, prioritising and allocating resources per the Data Services demand book of work (both from internal business lines and external clients); Ensuring materials are produced to respond to client Requests for Proposals.
You will play a pivotal role in establishing a Data Services front of house and demand management framework to oversee data demand.
This role will report into the Global Head of Data Services for Securities Services and will be a key part of the Data Services Leadership Team.
1. Technology Transformation Book of Work:
Oversee the technology transformation book of work for tools supporting data services, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Drive the implementation of new technologies and enhancements to existing tools.
2. Data Management Dashboards:
Develop and maintain a suite of data management dashboards to publish Management Information (MI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior stakeholders and practitioners.
Ensure dashboards provide meaningful insights into the health and performance of data services.
3. Technology Collaboration:
Work closely with technology teams to ensure the successful delivery and integration of data management tools.
Collaborate on technology roadmaps to enhance the overall data services ecosystem.
4. Accountability in Business-as-Usual (BAU):
Collaborate across product, operations, and technology teams to establish and maintain ongoing accountability for data in BAU.
Implement processes to monitor and ensure adherence to Data Governance standards.
5. Data Services Front of House:
Establish a Data Services front of house to serve as the central point of contact for data-related inquiries and support.
Enhance communication channels and feedback loops between data services and other business functions.
6. Demand Management Framework:
Develop and implement a demand management framework to oversee data demand across the organization.
Work with stakeholders to prioritize and manage data-related initiatives based on business needs.

- Relevant experience in Data Governance, tooling, and technology transformation, with a focus on leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading teams, managing technology transformation, and driving Data Governance practices.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data management tools, technology trends, and Data Governance principles.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., Data Management, Information Technology, Business).
