This role is integral to the success of our offshore wind projects, providing technical expertise and strategic oversight from the FEED stage through to design and execution. Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Offer technical input in support of offshore export cable selection and refinement, ensuring our projects adhere to the highest technical standards.
- Survey Coordination: Manage cable route survey scopes and evaluate cable burial risks and opportunities, optimizing proposed routes for maximum efficiency.
- Layout Optimization: Develop inter-array cable layouts and pursue continuous optimization to enhance project performance.
- Methodology Definition: Provide detailed definitions of cable installation methodologies, supporting project consenting inputs and regulatory compliance.
- Constraint Assessment: Assess cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore export cable corridors, identifying and mitigating potential limitations.
- Strategy Development: Formulate an execution strategy for both export and inter-array cables, contributing to the overall project program.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Engage with the supply chain to ensure that project strategies are in harmony with market expectations and technological advancements.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering, specifically with HVDC systems.
- Experience in the design FEED stage of large-scale projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
