This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm (0800 – 1600) with flexibility to start and finish earlier. The salary for this Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Technician role is £35,000 - £38,000 per annum plus excellent benefits as below!
As a Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Technician you will be reporting into the Electrical Services Manager working in a team of 4 with the following responsbilities:
- Install, repair, maintain, replace, and calibrate various machines such as roller dryers, kilns and packing machines including pressure, temperature, humidity, and other monitoring devices.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting of PLC and automation
- Support engineering capital and revenue projects in electrical and automation
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and in budget
- Supporting site infrastructure and development plans for planned and unplanned improvement works
- Using SCADA system to data monitor to make instrumentation processes more efficient and energy saving
- To strategically support and maintain process data systems, including SCADA systems and digital recorders.
- Evolve and maintain an instrumentation maintenance plan inline with the sites maintenance management system.
- Develop and create instrumentation registers
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Technician or similar
- 5 years apprentice trained (or equivalent) to EITB in Electrical Engineering or National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or HND in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in Plastics or Clayware manufacturing environment (desirable).
- Experience with AutoCAD and MS Project would be advantageous
- 18th Edition ideally although training can be provided
