You'll be a member of the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control team. As an Electrical Engineer, your role involves determining the correct technical specifications for power supply units during Proposals, FEED, and EPC projects. Internally, you'll work closely with project teams, procurement, compliance, quality, and other engineering disciplines. Externally, you'll interact with clients, vendors, and suppliers.

Description
- Develop specifications and hardware plans for power electronics, considering local grid requirements and project needs.
- Create specifications for power supply units based on international standards like IEC, NE, ATEX, and CE.
- Work on system architecture, schematics, harness drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts.
- Collaborate with teams on large-scale electrolyser modules for new product development.
- Develop busbar and cable interconnections for complex systems.
- Contribute to plant layout designs to ensure alignment with electrical requirements.
- Define specs for transformers, rectifiers, and switchboards.
- Check and approve documents like cable schedules, single-line diagrams, and load schedules.
- Serve as a technical authority on electrical issues.
- Create equipment lists and single-line diagrams, and perform cable calculations.
- Play a role in safety and quality evaluations.
- Assess engineering deliverables from external contractors.
- Conduct technical analysis and choose suppliers based on quality, technical, and commercial criteria.
- Oversee FEED, basic, and detailed engineering phases, and coordinate with vendors to ensure communication and quality.
- Manage budget, schedule, and quality constraints, estimate installation costs, and hold meetings with suppliers.
- Manage vendor documents during proposal and project execution phases.
Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree level or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in electrical and hardware planning for process engineering (large-scale)
- Extensive knowledge of the current European and North American standards and regulations in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in the field of electrical protection concepts
- Good command of technical documentation
- Familiar with hardware planning using electrical CAD systems
- Superior communication skills
- Ability to manage projects and multi-task effectively
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
- Understand safety, compliance, statutory and regulatory requirements
- European travel is essential in this role so you must have availability to travel internationally to site and vendors workshop
- Capable of critical thinking with solid decision-making skills
- Strong time management skills, including prioritisation management
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel
