SalaryWe are looking for an Electrical Technician or a Senior Electrical Technician on behalf of our West Bromwich based client who are a leading manufacturer for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others.
This Electrical Technician role is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will work as part of a highly skilled electrical engineering team and have experience as a qualified electrical fitter.
The ideal candidate will have responsibility for the following:
- Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment.
- Electrical plant installation and modification work in an industrial environment.
- Statutory inspections.
- The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
- Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
- Ideally have a good understanding of ATEX requirements.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline as a minimum.
- Ideally you would have a recognised Electrical apprenticeship.
- Ideally you have the 18th edition electrical wiring regulations.
- Ideally you would have a Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification but this is not a necessity.
Career development is possible with both internal and external training available.
Salary £33,276 (normal grade) to £35,016 (senior grade). An additional payment for an electrical call-in rota system (min £1.6k pa for a 1 in 4 rota) will be added once appropriate site knowledge has been obtained plus 25 days paid holiday (and all UK Bank Holidays), a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:30pm.
