Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Technician

We are looking for someone to join our production team who are vital to our operations, we are seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls Technician. If you are self-motivated, flexible, and have a keen eye for detail, This role is perfect for someone who values excellence, integrity, and a future-focused approach.
Day to Day of the role:
- Comply with planned maintenance schedules for water treatment works, reservoirs, and booster stations.
- Maintain, diagnose, repair, modify, configure, and commission various equipment.
- Monitor asset performance and operability during site visits.
- Collect and record asset health and performance data.
- Respond to breakdowns, assess problems, and carry out necessary repairs.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration align with manufacturers’ specifications and audit requirements.
- Supervise and assist in the development and learning of team members.
- Exchange information with other team members and departments as required.
- Accurately complete documentation to maintain internal change control standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field.
- An HNC/HND in electrical and/or electronic engineering.
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Relevant experience in a process and industrial environment.
- Experience in diagnosing and remediating complex system faults.
- Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and telemetry software packages.
- Knowledge of OT communications protocols and basic hydraulic principles.
- Ability to work from electrical drawings.
- Understanding of water treatment processes and/or water industry exposure.
- Full UK driving licence.
