Employee Relations Case Advisor

Are you looking for a rewarding role in Peterborough as an Employee Relations Case Advisor? Join the Mencap AskHR Team and help us deliver quality Employee Relations support to our colleagues. This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) and fixed term for an initial 6-month period. 

As part of our team, you will use a coaching approach to help managers deal with complex Employee Relations issues. You will work in a high volume and fast-paced environment. 

You will be based from our business support centre in Peterborough, and may need to travel occasionally for business purposes. You will also have the option to work flexibly from your home or office depending your own and the team's needs.  

You will interact with managers at all levels and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. You will advise managers on various options and challenge their decisions if needed. You will also have the chance to participate in projects within the team and organisation.

Your main duties will include:

• Recording cases with accurate details
• Enhancing the capability of the managers, through coaching to ensure effective decision making
• Creating reports and regularly joining conference calls with managers
• Collaborating closely with our managers and People Business Partners
• Are you passionate about providing great service and quality in a complex Employee Relations environment? Are you a good communicator? Are you confident and consistent in your approach and contact? 
• The skills and experiences we are looking for are:
• Experience of working with a large caseload in a shared service environment or in a multi-sited environment (preferred)
• CIPD qualification or working towards it
• Excellent problem solving / troubleshooting skills
• Resilient, natural communication, and great interpersonal skills
