The Role
The employment team in the UK Office of the General Counsel is responsible for advising the firm in relation to all employment and people related matters, ensuring the provision of high quality, commercially sound, practical legal advice.
We are looking for a talented and experienced legal counsel with significant in-house experience to advise primarily on transaction support, restructures, and TUPE but with the ability to advise on the full range of contentious and non-contentious people related legal matters if necessary.
The role requires that you:
Operate as part of a highly skilled team of Employment Lawyers providing advice on a broad variety of people matters including: restructures and business shaping, TUPE, corporate transactions, contractual agreements, grievances, disciplinary matters, internal policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, terminations, disputes and litigation Advise primarily on legal aspects of major people related projects/initiativesAre highly collaborative working closely on matters and projects to enable a seamless service to your internal customers Partner with key customers across the business including HR and the wider risk community, on employment and people related mattersYou will have the following experience and skills:
Experienced, UK qualified Employment Lawyer (minimum of 7 years PQE) Significant in-house employment law experience in restructures, corporate support, general advisory Proactive with strong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build connections Ability to collaborate across the business with people and teams at all levels Strong written and verbal communication skills Mature and discreet, with proven ability to handle sensitive information and situations Demonstrate alignment with and behaviour consistent with our Shared Values Excellent drafting skills Flexible approach and ability to learn new areas quickly IR35
