About the Service / Department Hestia's Volunteering team, work alongside people who use Hestia's services, staff teams and volunteers to collaborate together and empower people to take control of their recovery journey. Opportunities are created for Service users to share their experiences and to ensure that they are listened to and can therefore help us design and deliver services which are centred on what people really need. It gives people new skills and confidence through various personal and learning development opportunities to support achieving individual's aspirations. About the role Recruit, motivate and train service users to take up the role of together network Champion in each operational service.Coordinate a network of Together network staff champions, a minimum of one per service.Ensure volunteers reflect the diversity of our service users and taking action to strengthen the engagement of underrepresented groups and ensuring activities are tailored to the needs of the individual.Respond to the needs of individuals with sensitivity regarding their age, culture, race, gender, ethnicity, social class, or disability.Recruit, place, train, and support volunteers ensuring that all volunteers understand the roles and have a role description.Co-develop and co-facilitate training programmes, toolkits and guidance on recovery and working together with staff and local staff to inspire and motivate Hestia's operational services to fully work together and collaborate with their service users on the delivery of Hestia services alongside the Together network Manager.Work alongside the engagement & satisfaction coordinator to collate evidence and feedback of coproduction and how operational services involve their service users in decision making and designing services.Conduct a risk assessment and risk management plan for service users volunteering in line within Hestia's volunteering procedures.Maintain accurate administrative records in line with Hestia's reporting and monitoring of the Hestia Volunteering Programme.About you Excellent organisational and project management skills.Ability to provide guidance and support to volunteers, peers and service users in a professional and empowering way.Experience of recruiting and supervising volunteers.Ability to make presentation and engage a wide range of audiences.Excellent IT knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) and Outlook.Excellent literacy, numeracy and evaluation skills.Knowledge of coproduction theory and legal requirements within the Care Act.Good knowledge and awareness of cultural, social and health issues relevant to Hestia's service users.Able to build relationships and work jointly with a range of Hestia departments and operational services.Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
