The role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Team Leader (FLM). Working with the Engineering Manager to lead and develop all shift-based production activities while driving Engineering improvements.
- Reporting to the Engineering manager, effectively managing Engineering resources.
- Ensuring continuous improvement and optimisation of plant and equipment reliability.
- Participates in DDS and Engineering planning meetings and assists the team with the understanding of areas that require focus.
Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities:
- Recognised Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification. City & Guilds minimum
- Proven record of accomplishment of Front-Line Management within an FMCG environment
- Thorough understanding of PPM techniques
- Powerful desire to develop and coach team performance
- Working knowledge of Legislative standards within the FMCG environment
- Elevated level of numeracy and ability to analyse and interpret data
- A proactive approach to Problem-solving
- Ability to identify and implement Process improvements
- Ability to produce detailed Engineering and Process Risk assessments
Desirable:
- Manufacturing systems experience
- Project Management skills
- Management of financial budgets (CCM)
- Working knowledge of improvement techniques used to maximise and optimise
- plant performance and equipment
- Ability to produce detailed Engineering and Process Risk assessments
- Extensive PLC/Controls knowledge
