The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Group Engineering Director and will form a crucial part of the leadership team. They will be tasked to successfully lead the Engineering team to maintain all assets to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and deliver maximum volume at the right quality.

Michael Page is working with working with a North Cheshire based FMCG manufacturing business to recruit an Engineering Manager. This is a highly successful global FMCG manufacturer who supply a range of products to a large customer base across the UK and internationally.
Description
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Manage, lead and mentor the Engineering Team
- Lead the deployment and sustainable implementation of site MMS Asset Care processes.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability through reliability centred maintenance
- Lead the engineering function to provide engineering expertise across the site and support operational teams resolve complex equipment problems
- Drive continuous improvement methodology through competing RCA's and driving Kaizan, 5's and TPM methodology
- Ensure Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental processes and legislations are adhered to
- Budgetary Management
- Actively identify Capex opportunities and deliver agreed projects on time, in budget with wider team
- Identify skill gaps, mentor, train and develop engineering staff to maximum potential
- Drive improvement through change management across people and process
Profile
The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of the following:
- Relevant Engineering qualification (Electrical/Mechanical or similar)
- Experience in working within FMCG manufacturing facility
- Experience in working with a TPM focused environment
- Experience in managing, training and coaching engineering teams
- Strong people management skills and leadership acumen
- Change Management experience
- Analytical and strategic thinker with a keen eye for data metrics
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Knowledge and experience in applying continuous improvement tools and experience in lean principles and applications
- Ability to drive culture through change management and coaching
- Ambitious and driven
