AddressAs a senior member of the team the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the management of a group of technical professionals in the timely execution of operations in both the pre-construction and construction phases of seismically qualified concrete structures working on our 17-year civils and concrete structures framework for the PPP on Sellafield. This role will be based in Cleator Moor/Warrington for approximately 18 months, then the role will be on site in Sellafield.

The Engineering Manager role:
- This role will include managing; Site Quality, Engineering Methods, Design Management, Temporary Works, Risk, including Value Engineering, Lean, Digital Construction solutions, including 4D planning and other specialists.
- You will play a lead role in ensuring that the works are delivered to the highest quality standards and will demonstrate leadership in embedding a Quality Culture, through delivering engineering excellence, throughout the Team as well as upskilling and mentoring the engineers and works staff to meet the high standards required on this framework.
- Occasionally acting as Construction Manager / Engineering Manager during periods of illness or holiday and who is jointly responsible, with the Project / Construction Manager, for the technical competency and or delivery of all Quality and Technical aspects solutions of the project.
Your Profile
- Operational knowledge of heavy civil engineering, concrete structures and preferably with experience working in the nuclear industry.
- Proven technical, engineering background at an operational level, (Chief Engineer, Section Engineer, Senior Engineer, Design Manager, Engineering Managers) on heavy civil engineering
- Experienced in the identification, assessment, management and application of project risks and opportunities
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of technical engineering practices policies and procedures, relevant to the role, which may include broader sector/commercial awareness.
- Degree qualified and have a construction industry related Professional membership (e.g ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE, etc)
