Technical Architect (Software / Java) - Leading Fintech!

Exciting opportunity to join a global, leading FinTech organisation that are investing into new product development and technology modernisation initiatives.

My client is looking for a Technical Architect to lead in the analysis, architectural design and implementation of new technologies, frameworks and processes. The successful individual will come from an extensive background within Software Development including expertise within Java, Spring and JavaScript.

Salary: £75-78k + benefits

Location: Bristol (1-2 days per week)

Key duties / responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and maintaining complex web applications based on the Kafka
• Building reusable code and libraries
• Maintaining, supporting and enhancing existing systems and platforms
• Collaborate cross-functionally across the organisation
• Writing and testing code to develop scalable and robust solutions
• Reviewing, adjusting and unit testing of the code
• Investigating problems and determining the best solution
• Support on-going maintenance and fixes of solutions and in-house toolkits
• Discussing client's requirements and proposed solutions to fully understand and translate business requirements
• Collaborating with developers and other related departments
• Creating technical documentation
• Build relationships with team members and supporting junior team members

Key Skills / experiences:

• Technical architecture of enterprise software solutions
• Background in Software development including Java, Spring & Angular
• Git, Maven, Jenkins Pipelines
• Microservices with Spring Boot
• Apache Kafka
• Experience with Hibernate and JPA,
• REST, Swagger/OpenAPI
• gRPC
• NoSQL Databases
• Traditional RDBMS
• Automated Unit and System level tests
