Engineering Team Leader (FMCG)

Are you ready to take charge of an essential operation and lead a dedicated team to success? We're seeking an Engineering Team Leader to oversee our teams, ensuring efficiency, safety, and top-notch service levels. As the Engineering Team Leader, you'll report directly to the Engineering Site Lead and supervise our multiskilled Engineering Team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our food processing and packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Engineering Team to achieve operational targets and continuous improvement goals.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods for food processing and packaging equipment.

• Drive innovation and improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production flow and adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for complex engineering issues.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Mentor and develop team members through training and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Suitably qualified either through an engineering apprenticeship or similar

• Proven experience in a leadership role within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in food processing equipment.

• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
