English Teacher May 2024 - Maternity

Hays Education is collaborating closely with a Liverpool-based secondary school to hire a dedicated and passionate English Teacher for a Maternity position. The school, situated in the heart of Liverpool, boasts excellent transport links and convenient access to the M62 motorway. The role is set to commence in May 2024 until at least Christmas. Additionally, the school is open to considering Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who specialise in English.
Key Responsibilities for the English Teacher include:

• Delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
• Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encouraging good practice regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.

Qualifications required for this role:

• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4.
