The Head of Equity Research manages the Equity Research department, which consists of 9 analysts, working in London. This role is to enable the Head of Research and the analysts to operate more effectively by providing support for the production and dissemination of research material. The appointee will be involved in a wide variety of existing and new tasks to provide high-level and efficient analytical (and administrative) support to the Research team. In addition the role provides a broad training of Equity Research supported by study for industry recognised qualifications (IMC / CFA)

- Provide support for the Equity Research Team in stock analysis. Over time this will progress to supervised stock research responsibility.
- Provide support for the Equity Research Team in developing and distributing research notes and presentations
- Prepare agendas for and distribute daily research minutes and other meetings as necessary.
- Monitor, maintain and arrange for updating of research systems. Support for system enhancements and development. Provide management information from research systems as required
- Coordinate and update the Equity Research department section of the company intranet System (Share point)
- Act as the main point of contact for DataStream information, internal research or external research to fund managers along agreed lines
- Assist in the general administration of the team, including diary management, meeting scheduling.
- Act as first point of contact for ad hoc requests and queries from investment managers and analysts
- Interest in equity investing
- Strong attention to detail with document work and written communication
