Act as academic and pastoral tutor to learners.To undertake additional duties that may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post.GCSE (or any qualification which is deemed to be equivalent) in English (Grade A-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in CommunicationGCSE (or any qualification which is deemed to be equivalent) in Maths (Grade A-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules.A University Degree recognised and accepted by the Department for the Economy for teaching Essential Skills Literacy in Northern Ireland of which the subject area of Literacy forms a minimum of 50 per cent of the subject studied.A Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent qualification recognised for teaching Essential Skills in Northern Ireland.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Full clean driving licence.Ability to communicate effectively with learners with a range of abilities and motivation.Ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work with external customers and stakeholders.Ability to work flexibly and effectively as a member of a team. , Ability to utilise ICT both within learning and administrative processes.Experience of successful teaching/training would be advantageous.
