Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: OTE £44,000 Including basic of up to £38,000 plus bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (40 hours)
Lookers Chester Vauxhall Parts and Bodyshop is recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Estimator or Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our successful team and work alongside our amazing Cosmetic repair technicians to provide a professional a friendly service to our Lookers customers.
You will report directly to Graham Dunroe, our experienced Bodyshop manager, who will provide you with continuous support and development opportunities, allowing you to enhance your skills and establish a strong career within the automotive industry.
As a Bodyshop Estimator for our Chester Bodyshop, you will inspect and assess damage on vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage. You will ensure that authority to proceed with repairs to customers vehicles is obtained and documented and ensure the efficient use of materials, equipment, and labour resources. You will also be responsible for welcoming customers to site, you will ensure all visitors consistently receive a professional and courteous welcome.
Responsibilities:- Compile accurate estimates of labour, paint and parts to repair or replace each damaged item using Lookers internal systems and processes.
- Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts.
- Liaise with Insurance Companies and prepare insurance forms to ensure all requirements have been met.
- Liaise with customers on work required and to keep them informed.
The ideal candidate will previous experience working within a Bodyshop or Service Workshop environment, and be able to demonstrate a strong and stable work history. You must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated to crack on with the job and be passionate about what you do. This role will require you to work towards targates and KPIs, and you will be rewarded with an exceptional bonus package when you hit your desired efficiency levels. Being ambitious and hard-working is therefore essential.
Previous experience in a similar position with brand training within the motor trade would be is essential. You will also be required to hold a full UK driving license as you may be expected to drive some of the most prestigious cars on the market!
