Within Student Support and Wellbeing, the Study Abroad team is responsible for the delivery of a programme of opportunities for students to gain global experience as part of their UCL studies. The team work to promote global student mobility across the institution, providing a range of services for students considering, preparing for, or undertaking, an international placement. This is a unique opportunity to join our vibrant and hard-working team at the heart of UCL’s busy student-facing support service.
About the role
As European Programmes Coordinator for the UCL Study Abroad Team, you will be responsible for the ongoing delivery of UCL’s Turing projects and the university’s European exchange, supported by the International Student Support Adviser and the Study Abroad Adviser. The postholder will support students undertaking European mobility, providing proactive and specialist advice to students during the application, allocation, pre-departure process and while on placement. They will also have operational responsibility for UCL’s Turing projects and funding, covering all aspects of day-to-day administration, including overseeing applications, record-keeping, distribution of grants, reporting and auditing, ensuring all activity is undertaken in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Turing Scheme.
About you
The successful applicant will have relevant employment in a customer-focused environment within Higher Education and knowledge of Higher Education systems and issues relating to study abroad. They will also have the ability to delegate effectively and with appropriate support. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach to ensure the delivery of timely and relevant support, and outstanding accuracy and attention to detail, combined with excellent administrative and organisational skills.
