Event Manager – Leading Business Body

Fantastic Event Manager role working on a busy programme of varied events from thought leadership, networking, seminars/conferences, dinners, briefings, and international trade missions – championing the needs and interests of London businesses at home and abroad.

The events programme is diverse and multi-facted by nature, and includes influencing events, private lunches/dinners, networking, corporate hospitality, webinars, briefings, international trade shows and training delivered through a wide variety of digital and physical event platforms.  A really great range and variety of events to work on! 
Role:
This is a permanent Event Manager position in a bright and friendly team and reporting into the Head of Events. This role gives you responsibility for your events from concept to completion, planning and delivering of a variety of programmes of events for member companies and the organization itself. You’ll have responsibility of all aspects of your events, from initial stakeholder’s briefings, to developing and delivering the event - speaker research and liaison, co-ordinating event logistics, supplier and venue management, guest invitations, research and create event content in liaison with stakeholder, implement marketing event plans, on-site and virtual delivery, post event communications etc. A brilliantly rounded Event Manager role that sees you as the key contact for all aspects of your events. 
 
You:
We’re looking for an experienced, articulate and pro-active Events Manager or Senior Events Co-ordinator, ideally a solid background in b2b events, who enjoys full end to end event management, and the wider context, objectives and marketing of the events you work on …. an Association, governing body, corporate, publishing or commercial events background  are all good and relevant for this great role! 
Role responsibilities include:-

• End to end event management and logistics
• Take responsibility for delivering range of member events – from receptions, lunches/dinners, thought leadership events, seminars, webinars, networking, conferences (mainly London-based)
• Support origination of event concept/agenda, design and implement promotional activities
• Research and recruit high profile and relevant speakers for events
• Source and manage venues and suppliers
• Develop marketing plans and literature for events
• Work with Sponsorship team to develop and then deliver sponsorship proposals​​
   

Key requirements in the successful candidate:-

• A proven background of developing and delivering business focussed events from conception to completion
• End to end event management experience across varied event formats (b2b) – both online and physical events
• Strong track record of developing business focused events - from receptions, lunches/dinners, thought leadership events, seminars, webinars, networking, conferences
• Great dealing with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers alike
• Managing and delivery of budgets
• Solid marketing and database skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work autonomously, but pitch in to support others when required
• Customer focused/enjoy working in a team/enjoy working in a membership focused environment
