NT Food and Drink, a partnership formed between Levy UK & I (part of Compass Group), KERB Events and the National Theatre, enhances the experience of visitors to the NT. Through delivery of great hospitality across the building and with a wide range of venues from event spaces, cafes, bars and restaurants whether theatre-going or not, we're able to meet the needs of our guest and add to their experience of visiting this iconic venue.
JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Event Operations Managers, you will be responsible for supporting the events team with the operational delivery of events within the National Theatre. You will take the lead on delivering small meetings and events, and support in the preparation and delivery of larger scale events within all areas of the building.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Delivery of small tea and coffee events and meetings using the standard operating procedures Preparation of equipment for upcoming events according to instructions Maintenance of equipment stock levels and standards, ensuring kit is polished and ready for service Alert the Event Operations Managers of equipment losses and damages Event space set ups as per function sheet Assist on delivery of larger events as business requirements dictate Set rooms with correct furniture and linen as per function sheets Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required Promote and support NT Food & Drink's commitment to sustainability in event delivery Comply with all health and safety regulations
PERSONAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in events, preferably in the food and beverage industry within a corporate setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with own direct colleagues and other departments High level of professionalism and ability to represent the organisation effectively Ability to think outside the box and be creative Flexibility to work daytimes, evenings and weekends as per business requirements A confident person, who takes pride in a high standard of work
