Events Coordinator - Azzurra - Central London
We started nineteen years ago when the first Aqua opened in Hong Kong. It proved so popular that today Aqua Restaurant Group has grown to over 20 venues spanning London, New York, Miami, Dubai & Hong Kong.
The Events Team currently oversee 7 sites in London; our newest opening, Azzurra, a stunning Italian seafood restaurant situated in Chelsea, Hutong at The Shard and Aqua Shard, which are both located in London’s iconic Shard building, Aqua Kyoto and Aqua Nueva, our stunning rooftop venues which are located in the heart of the West End, and our casual dining restaurant’s Luci, an Italian bakery in Covent Garden and Shiro, which is based in Broadgate Circle.
We are looking for an outgoing and vibrant Events Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing events team to manage the private dining department for our new opening, Azzurra as well as helping with the group bookings for Luci & Shiro.
This is an entry-level opportunity for a highly motivated individual, looking to gain experience within the events industry.
The role would be key in helping to deliver a variety of private events, such as VIP lunches and dinners, corporate networking receptions, product launches, birthday parties and more.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for co-ordinating all events in our Azzurra private dining rooms, potentially up to 25 guests.
- Overseeing all group bookings in Luci & Shiro.
- Assisting in the efficient day-to-day and smooth running of the events office.
- Answering email and telephone enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Responding to a high volume of event enquiries with detailed bespoke quotations.
- Conducting regular site visits with potential clients.
- Maintain up-to-date correspondence, confirming all details and good diary management.
- Overseeing the production of the weekly event packs to be presented & distributed to Heads of Department’s at weekly events meetings.
- Work with the Chef’s to provide unique menus to be available in the private dining rooms.
- Work alongside the Events Manager to develop strong relationships with both current and potential new clients through arranging weekly/monthly client entertainment events.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, or recently graduated from Events Management or similar course.
- Ability to communicate with customers and peers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Have excellent administration & organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Remain calm and accurate under pressure and can demonstrate initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be lively, enthusiastic, driven and fun team player!
