N8 Executive Administration Officer

The N8 Research Partnership is a small team working across the 8 research intensive universities in the North of England to deliver collaborative projects.  We are looking to recruit for maternity cover from early March 2024 for 12 months.  We have some flexibility around start date.

This is an opportunity to gain new and different experiences, build contacts across the North, and experience working in a small team in a dynamic environment, with academics and professional services across all levels.

The projects that the N8 work on are varied, ranging from research collaborations to improving research culture and the job will involve supporting the N8 Director and wider team in all aspects of their roles including managing the Director’s diary to providing secretarial support for the N8’s governance bodies (e.g. Board with the Vice Chancellors) and other standing groups, liaising with government advisors’ office and supporting the running of workshops with academic and non-academic partners..

The role is delivered remotely with occasional travel to the office in Manchester and to the other universities in the group – this can involve travel out of normal office hours.
