About the Role
City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a determined, innovative and results-driven Executive Director of Standards (Secondary) from September 2024. As Executive Director of Standards (Secondary), you will have responsibility for developing and delivering on an exceptional secondary strategy which leads to impeccable student behaviour and outstanding outcomes and progress for our pupils.

Our objective is to deliver outstanding outcomes and progress for all our students, as we know that strong GCSE and A level performance is crucial to improving our students’ life chances. COLAT currently oversees six secondary academies, three primary academies and one sixth form centre all located in north, south and east London. We combine the heritage and tradition of the Corporation of London with an approach to educating pupils which we know delivers an exceptional education for our context. We are also committed to providing training and development to all our staff, plus excellent career advancement opportunities within this evolving Trust.
The Trust's primary schools are graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. Our sixth form centre, Newham Collegiate Sixth Form, is graded Outstanding in all areas and is recognised as one of the best 16-19 Free Schools in the country. Of our six secondary academies, one is graded Outstanding, four are graded Good (two with Outstanding features) and one requires improvement.
