**Position**: Social Worker - Careline (Adult)
**Location**: City Wide
Our client, within the Adult Services and Health Directorate, is seeking compassionate Social Workers to join their Careline team. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support to adults, ensuring their well-being and social inclusion. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic 24/7 social work service, contributing to positive outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assess the needs of adults within the City Council’s eligibility criteria and relevant legislation, identifying risks and protection needs.
- Respond to requests for assistance professionally, determining the level and type of assessment required.
- Plan and organize appropriate services, liaising with professionals and community resources to ensure the best support is provided.
- Conduct social work enquiries and initial assessments on adult referrals, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
- Collaborate with the Out of Hours service, working variable shifts and conducting assessments in the community.
- Maintain accurate records of work undertaken and write reports to a professional standard.
- Supervise students when required and contribute to the evaluation and development of services.
**Requirements**:
- Hold an Enhanced DBS check.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Community Care legislation, policies, and guidance.
- Ability to work effectively within a performance management framework.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with service users and their carers.
