FABRIC & TRIM DEVELOPMENT:
- Supporting fabric and Trim Development process including, where appropriate for the season: preparing fabric and trim selections with prices and initial information for the design team to review, researching new suppliers for specific items, sending out packs for lab dips and trials, receiving packages, & keeping record of final confirmed Fabric & Trim information
- Helping to maintain fabric and collection boards with all information, including prices, order quantities and deliveries
- Communication with the design, development and atelier team re. sampling fabric deliveries
- Receiving sampling fabric rolls and trims, quality checking, taking cuttings and tagging rolls
- Organizing and maintaining of fabric and trim library
- Creating and executing the Market swatch books
- Creating end of season fabric handover books for production
- Following sampling fabric and trim shipments eg. making shipping labels when necessary and tracking packages
- Archiving at end of each season in our seasonal binders & boxes for storage
- Ad hoc tasks for the design & PD team as needed during the season
Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Fashion or Textiles Design. Candidate must be a student and need a required WORK PLACEMENT
- Must have a great attention to detail and meticulous in their work with an understanding of the luxury segment
- Strong communication skills to both internal & external teams
- Flexible and accustomed to working within tight deadlines
- The role requires to be highly organized and have a general proactive approach to daily tasks
- The ideal candidate must be able to work well within a team, however also capable of working unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Google Suite, Adobe, & Microsoft Office is desirable
A daily compensation package is given within the general WORK PLACEMENT guidelines
