The Role
Are you experienced in arc welding processes like TIG, PAW and MMA? Do you possess the capability to interpret engineering drawings including weld symbols, ensuring precision and accuracy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are a total manufacturing solution facility for the supply of medium to large fabricated and machined equipment, looking to appoint an experienced Fabricator/ Welder to our growing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects.
The salary for this role starts at £32,300 for day shifts whilst in probation/training. Once training and probation is completed and the successful candidate has started the nightshift, it increases to £36,300-£37,500, dependant on skill level.
Once probation/training has successfully been completed positions are 2-week rotational days/nights, working a maximum of 46 hours per week.
Days: Monday – Thursday: 0700-1730 (half hour unpaid lunch break) Friday: 0700-1300.
Nights: Monday-Thursdays: 1830-0630 (half hour unpaid lunch break).
Key Responsibilities:
- The assembly, fabrication and welding of Stainless-steel parts and sub-assemblies.
- Carry out other processes within the facility in order to complete work as necessary and collaborate with peers to ensure that each operation is finished on time and right first time.

The Person
- A strong interest in welding, fabrication and materials ideally holding an approved Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, VRQ, Technical Certificate, Diploma, Apprenticeship) in an engineering subject and/or equipment ‘on the job’ experience of a minimum of 5 years.
- Experience of arc welding processes, such as: TIG, PAW, MMA, MIG/MAG, FCAW, SAW.
- Experience with manual, mechanised or robotic welding.
- Project experience from concept to product realisation.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings, including weld symbols.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality standards and meet production deadlines.
- Able to operate overhead cranes and workshop equipment.
- Working safely and adherence to health and safety rules/requirements is essential.
