We 're currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a part time basis, contracted to 20 hours per week.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of facility management with the wider facilities team. Could you bring your spark to Defence? Here 's what you need to know before applying:
- To maintain and monitor the appearance of the site at all times, including litter collection.
- To collect and recycle items for disposal. Fridges Televisions etc.
- Driving duties in conjunction with daily tasks.
- General labouring tasks as directed by Management.
- Ensure the daily FM activities are carried out in a safe environment, complying with Company, best practice and current legalisation.
- To, prepare, transport, erect, dismantle and maintain equipment for Establishment events and functions, Ceremonial Divisions Marquees, Electrics, Tents, Tiered and Trailer Seating etc.
- To collect and deliver stores, furniture, office equipment and general porterage service etc.
- Basic Equipment and Tool Maintenance.
- Morning Brief (Tool Box Talk).
- Response service for adverse weather conditions.
- Undertake low risk minor building and fabric maintenance to casemates/repair tasks as directed by the GSA Team Leader.
- Report any Health and Safety defects to the GSA Team Leader.
- Waste management including collection services and monitoring of contracted services.
- Provide cover during periods of leave or absence.
- Emptying Bomb Bins and smoking shelters receptacles and bins. General cleaning tasks as directed. Broken glass, Debris etc.

- A good communicator, able to liaise confidently with customers and engage/develop team members
