The Facilities Assistant for Leica Biosystems is responsible for scheduling & administrative duties for various activities including site maintenance visits (reactive & planned).
This position is part of the PMO, Facilities & EHS Team located in Newcastle and will be on-site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Facilities Team and report to the Facilities & Project Manager responsible for Front-line support of day-to-day facilities activities across a range of services including soft services, catering, & maintenance activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
· Undertaking key fire safety activities (weekly fire alarm testing)
· Undertaking water hygiene activities
· Contractor liaison e.g. site visits, obtaining quotes
The essential requirements of the job include:
· Scheduling planned & reactive maintenance visits
· Updating maintenance schedule
· Filing of all service reports
· Contract administration
· On-site contractor management
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
· Facilities services
· Contractor liaison
· Scheduling contractors
