About Us:
Where just a few hours work can make a real difference
In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective, and efficient. By sharing facilities and expertise with Westminster City Council, we’re able to offer joined-up services for children and their families that are constantly evolving. In our most recent Ofsted inspection, we were judged as outstanding in all areas.
The Role:
Joining a highly responsive and well-supported team, you’ll work flexibly to suit the needs of families. You’ll provide child-focused supervision of contact between children and birth parents, both in our Contact Centre and out in the community. This includes escorting children to and from contact sessions and ensuring the contact rooms and play equipment are kept safe and clean. You’ll have the backing of a senior contact worker and access to a wide range of training and development.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information.
About You:
We work with many different communities across Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster and would like our sessional workers to be equally diverse. We don’t expect direct experience of supervised contact work, but you must have a recognised childcare or social care qualification and some experience of working with children and vulnerable families. Ideally, you must be available for at least three days per week or the equivalent hours over Monday to Saturday. The ability to make accurate observations and write clear and concise reports is essential.
