Farm Shop Cafe Assistant 18 Hours

We are looking for a Full Time Café Supervisor to join our friendly team in our busy family-run Farm Shop, Oakes Farm Shop.

Oakes Farm Shop & Café is a family owned Farm Shop with a 70+seat café. We’re situated in West Midlands (based in between Solihull and Coventry). We comprise of a shop, butchery, delicatessen and a thriving café. We’re passionate about providing the best locally sourced food around.

The position will be from 3 days a week and may include weekend work.

Duties to include:

• Taking orders from customers and inputting into the tills
• Daily use of the coffee machine
• Maintaining a clean working environment at all time
• Restocking of fridge and shelves throughout shifts
• Answering the café phone in a professional manner
• Working alongside the café team to ensure a smooth day to day running of the café
• Encouraging excellent customer service at all times
• Maintaining a good working relationship with café assistants and other colleagues
• Ensuring deliveries are put away promptly
• Dealing with any customers enquiries face-to-face and over the phone
• Ensuring the open and close down of the department is done to company standard
• Working in accordance to health & safety and food hygiene standards

Person Specification

We will provide full in-house training, however, the ideal candidate will hold the follow traits:

Essential

• Excellent customer service
• A passion for quality fresh local food
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team
• Excellent initiative
• A good work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience dealing with customer enquiries and complaints

Desirable

• Previous experience within a busy café/restaurant environment
• Full clean UK driving license
• Barista trained
