Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Northampton Region

Salary: GBP35,000 to GBP43,500

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 15:30

Job Purpose:

As a key member of the Engineering Service Support Team, the Field Service Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering world-class solutions to factories by simplifying transportation & conveyor procedures.

The role involves planned preventative maintenance (PPM), recommendations, participation in a callout rota, and machine maintenance aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and suggest system improvements.
• Complete the service rota efficiently.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Collaborate with the team for innovation and system enhancements.
• Manage incident/accident reporting and implement preventive strategies.
• Prioritize workload for effective time management.

Qualifications Required:

• City and Guilds or equivalent recognized apprenticeship

Essential Experience:

• Engineering experience in parcel handling, FMCG/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with inverter drives, SCADA control, profibus, Asi, PC/PLC control.
• Successful delivery against contractual targets and KPIs.
• Extensive experience in managing service contracts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to build effective working relationships.
