Job Title: Field Support Technician

Daily Rate: GBP150 - GBP190 per day
Clearance - Active SC/NPPV Clearance needed
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Exeter. As a Field Support Technician, you will be responsible for delivering successful technical resolutions to end-user device issues escalated by first-line/second-line support teams, requiring physical presence at customer sites. You will utilize your experience and evolving technical abilities to restore normal service to users as quickly as possible and apply problem-solving skills to resolve unknown issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess two or more of the following technical skillsets at a Competent level:
- Competent Windows Operating System skills
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy troubleshooting, and Client-Side networking.
- Competent MS SCCM deployment, troubleshooting, and support skills
- Competent client application installation and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Mobile Device Management, including build and deployment
- Certification as a Lenovo Warranty professional is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact at various levels across the customer and the organization
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Organizational and self-management skills
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a Technical Support/operational role
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver successful technical resolutions to end-user device issues escalated by first-line/second-line support teams, requiring physical presence.
- Utilize experience and evolving technical ability to restore normal service to users as quickly as possible.
- Apply problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to resolve unknown issues.
- Manage 3rd party hardware warranties and repairs.
- Deal with customer requests in line with service definitions and SLAs.
- Provide technical installation knowledge to complete change (HIMACs) requests within SLA.
- Deliver end-user device elements of projects within agreed SLAs.
- Complete Configuration Item change forms and supply with SLA to Configuration Manager.
- Accurately and timely record activities.
- Maintain relationships with interfacing business functions and IT departments.
- Proactively own scheduled workload and reactively manage multiple tasks escalated by the team to meet key performance indicators.
- Undertake personal training and development in line with departmental needs and Personal Development Plan agreed with Line Manager.
- Participate and contribute to Continuous Improvement and coaching within the team.
- Available when required to work out of hours on an overtime basis.
