Salary We are seeking a Finance Analyst to manage and optimise inventory holdings within Travelex vaults, stores, and ATMs across the UK, as well as to supervise Cashflow forecasts and track cash positions across the UK. The individual will perform analysis and provide recommendations to the business on how to manage inventory in order to maintain optimal stock days, maximise revenue and ensure the business meets its liquidity targets.
Key accountabilities:
Technical Activities:
- Review and monitor inventory levels to ensure the business achieves its financial and non-financial targets.
- Work with stakeholders to implement, through analysis, optimised Days of Inventory targets at a store, area and country level.
- Assist in the production of fortnightly cashflows, providing guidance on business requirements within the UK entities that must be incorporated.
- Align schedules and store holding limits with seasonality and consider the ramifications on any changes within the forecasting environment.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure there are agreed corrective actions that will result in adherence to targets at store, area and country levels.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure stock ordering and returns are conducted to ensure common goals are achieved.
- Monitor and review stock outs across the network and take appropriate actions on the result of this.
- Work closely with the stock forecasting provider to deliver optimal stock holdings across stores and vaults.
- Deliver continuous system improvement and refinement of the Stock ordering/forecasting process by providing appropriate feedback to the stock forecasting provider.
- Design and provide relevant additional reporting as required.
- Help drive improvements and challenge the status quo.
- Perform regular and ad-hoc analysis as required by the business and be able to make valid arguments and recommendations based on the analysis performed.
- Understand the supply chain from end to end and be the “go to” person for anything Inventory and Cash related in the UK.
- Ensure forecasting meets demand and react swiftly to any discrepancies that may cause disruption to the business.
Relationship management:
- Build a strong relationship and work closely with the stock forecasting provider to drive improvements.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders across the retail business.
- Work closely with local retail teams to understand their inventory requirements and how the business will be impacted by change.
- Develop a good relationship with the team in the vault to work together to maximise the available working capital and streamline processes.
- Assist Finance Business Partners with production of fortnightly Cashflows.
- Develop sound professional working relationships with colleagues in all areas of the business, building their confidence and acquiring an understanding of the business and also build their knowledge of how inventory works and impacts on business performance.
- Assist with providing insights on analytics, reports and overall performance.
- Management of team of two.
