THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with our client who are looking for a Finance and Administration Manager to look after the Finance and administration. The Finance and Administration Manager role is imperative to the business to ensure all aspects of the business are kept up to date. Working with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of the business as a whole.
THE ROLE
The role serves as the primary contact internally and externally for matters related to accountancy, finance, office processes, and Health and Safety. This includes liaising with accountants and ISO auditors, communicating processes to team members, coordinating with insurance brokers, collaborating with the Operations Manager to ensure timely customer order deliveries, and facilitating communication between departments and external partners.
The role is tasked with managing all aspects of finance for the businesses, encompassing tasks such as processing purchase invoices, arranging payments, raising sales invoices, debt chasing, bank reconciliations, HMRC payments, cash flow forecasts, month-end duties, stock control, journals, prepayments, accruals, monthly payroll, pension administration, management accounts reporting to the Managing Director, and overseeing office budgets. Additionally, the manager actively seeks opportunities to reduce costs and advises management on potential cost reductions.
As an active member of the management team, the Finance and Administration Manager actively participates in the strategic development of the organization, contributing insights and expertise to the overall growth and success of the company.
THE PERSON
Essential
* At least 5 years Office management
* Accounting Qualification (AAT Level 3 preferred) or 5 years' plus experience in an accounting role producing management accounts
* Effective communication skills both written and verbal at all levels.
* Able to prioritise and work under pressure.
* Team Player
* Able to problem solve.
* Payroll and pension experience.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Willingness to undertake training and continuing professional development.
* Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and autonomy but have an awareness of when to share problems and seek advice.
* Excellent excel and word skills
Preferred
* Cash flow forecasting experience
* Producing and updating budgets
* Experience of using Xero
* Cost reduction experience
* Strong negotiation skills
* Internal Auditing qualification or trained by experience
* Knowledge of ISO9001
* IOSH Working or Managing Safely
* A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
