Finance Assistant

Heyland Recruitment are working with this rapidly expanding multidisciplinary services organisation as they look to recruit an experienced and talented Finance Assistant to join their growing finance team at their head office in Helsby. Following successful completion of training this role offers the opportunity for hybrid home/office working.

Key responsibilities:

* Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the paperless automated accounts system
* Checking expense claim receipts against the company expense policy and identifying vat to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines
* Dealing with supplier requests for payment, supplier queries and verification of bank details
* Weekly supplier and expense payments
* CIS deductions and returns
* Daily bank reconciliations, dealing with sterling, and multiple currency bank accounts
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Raising inter-company sales invoices
* Maintaining and reconciling cash flow spreadsheet
* Assisting with various balance sheet reconciliations which could include Fixed Assets, VAT, Sales, and Purchase Ledger Controls
* Month end duties to meet strict deadlines
* Dealing with multiple currency databases
* Any other ad-hoc duties

Qualifications and Skills Required:

* AAT or similar accounting qualification will be an advantage or qualified by experience
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to analyse and interpret
* Team player
* Can show initiative
* Self-motivated
* Approachable
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Highly organised
