Form of workI am currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a busy and growing firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Chester. This is a busy and growing practice and they are looking for someone who is part or fully qualified at AAT level to join their first-class team. Working as part of the team you will support customers with all aspects of accountancy.
Responsibilities include:
- Reporting to the director and senior manager
- Preparing limited company accounts and corporation tax returns including dealing with clients queries with support from two qualified ACAs
- Possible audit work if the person possesses the right experience (not obligatory)
- Possible independent examination and charity accounts work if the person possesses the right experience (not obligatory)
- VAT return preparation
- Dealing with companies house issues - winding companies and issue of shares up etc
- Management accounts preparation
- Resolving HMRC queries/issues
- Personal tax return preparation for the period of October to January
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a firm of UK accountants required
- Experienced in meeting clients face to face and providing high levels of customer services
