Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

Company Description: A dynamic and growing company in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the finance department and contribute to the efficient operation of the company's financial activities.

Job Description: As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team in day-to-day operations, including but not limited to:

• Processing invoices and managing accounts payable/receivable.
• Assisting with budget preparation and cash flow management.
• Conducting bank reconciliations and ledger postings.
• Preparing financial reports and statements.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Working closely with the finance manager to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Office and finance software.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
• Good data entry skills with a knack for numbers.
