Finance and Administration Assistant (hybrid / flexible hours)

£33,000-£40,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a Clavering based family run business, for an experienced Finance and Administration Assistant to join the established team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Directors, this role will see the successful candidate taking responsibility for a variety of duties, including the following:
- Reconcile company bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns
- Handle payments to subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) regulations
- Allocate costs to specific projects through journal entries
- Generate and issue sales invoices to clients
- Payroll processing
- Maintain and update the debtors list, ensuring timely collections
- Manage the company Bike to Work scheme
- Cover for other roles in the purchasing and accounts team
This client is looking for a confident individual with a mature and flexible attitude. You will be joining a relatively small team, and a willingness and ability to multi-task and to switch focus is essential to the successful running of the business.
Candidates should have solid financial administration experience and be comfortable with transactional tasks, reconciliations, and with ideally some tax knowledge. Payroll experience is not essential, however would be advantageous.
This role covers both finance and administration tasks, and so it is necessary that candidates are happy with this mix.
