We are working with a fantastic IT company who are located in West Leeds and are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join them. The successful candidate will be available immediately to join this team on a permanent basis. Fully office-based role, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Finance Assistant experience and be ready for that next change. Key duties will involve:
- Sales and purchase ledger control
- Cost control and bank reconciliations
- Analysis of costs of sales from supplier invoices
- VAT returns
- Expenses and Commissions processing
- Month end reconciliations )
- Month End and Year End processes
- Reconciling and updating various financial records
- Resolving any queries relating to invoices and bills
- Credit Control - regular cash collection
- Checking on a daily basis that bank transactions have been identified
- Maintaining the asset register
- Preparation and posting of month end journals including accruals and prepayment
- Creation of sales invoices and sending to customer
- Management of queries from customers and suppliers
- Supporting colleagues with general administrative duties as and when required (e.g. telephone, office visitors)
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant who is seeking a permanent role and one that is available to start at short notice or even immediately. The successful candidate will be part of a wider administration team and will be the key finance person in the office, you must have:
- Minimum of 3 years finance experienced
- Advanced Excel
- Knowledge of Xero or similar packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team attitude
- Must be available immediately
