Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be representing a company based in Guisborough looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a full-time and permanent basis.Paying a salary of £25,000K - £28,000K per annum, depending on experience.
Due to an internal promotion, the client is looking for someone to join their small yet friendly team ASAP! 

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance transactions within a small but growing team:
Maintain the purchase ledger by accurately recording all invoices.

• Ensure proper authorisation for invoices and input them with correct nominal and supplier coding.
• Download supplier invoices from self-servicing arrangements and account for them.
• Transfer approved invoices to the purchase ledger for posting and payment.
• Regularly reconcile supplier statements.
• Process payments according to agreed terms and conditions.
• Complete bank reconciliations promptly.
• Post all general ledger entries and keep records up-to-date for management review.
• Reconcile outstanding premium income related to panel clients and intermediaries.
• Assist in cash flow management by collecting outstanding monies and arranging payments.
• Process payments via banking systems as requested.
• Control reimbursements from petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Assisting with Management Accounts

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience working within a similar accounts role and capable of working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. You must be someone with strong attention to detail and delivery to strict deadlines, confident in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel and with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.
