REED are happy to be supporting a brilliant client in the Durham area, looking for a Part Time Finance Assistant to join their team.
The role is to assist the Finance Officer with a range of administrative and finance-related tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the finance department.
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices, perform data entry and coding of invoices into the accounting system (Sage 200) ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Verify and reconcile invoices to purchase orders
- Prepare and issue payments to suppliers on a timely basis.
- Email remittances to suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers/staff to resolve queries
Sales Ledger
- Assist in preparation of sales invoices
- Monitor and follow up outstanding balances
Expense Management
- Review and process expense claims, verify supporting documentation ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Issue payments & remittances
Other
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements
- Intercompany recharges
- Bank Reconciliations
- Assist with various ad hoc tasks as necessary
This is a temporary ongoing position, initially for 6 months with potential for permanent for the right candidate.
Pay rate: £12-13p/h
Working Hours: 14 hours per week, Tuesday and Wednesday working days.
