Finance Assistant

Milestone Education is seeking a detail-driven Finance Assistant to join our Business Support team. Leverage your Sage skills and passion for numbers to help scale our rapidly growing business.

Job Description

In this critical role, you'll own the full sales ledger process, from generating invoices to collecting payments and everything in between. You'll reconcile accounts, support monthly financial reporting, and run payroll like a boss. Strong Excel abilities will help you analyse data and provide insights to management.

We're looking for someone who geeks out on bookkeeping minutiae but also has the communication chops to respond to queries and influence stakeholders. You'll need to adeptly manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining meticulous accuracy.

Main Duties + Responsibilities

• Providing end-to-end Sales Ledger Management including raising invoices and cash allocations
• Inputting finance data into multiple systems
• Management of Ledgers across 3 platforms
• Work towards achieving monthly targets set by Business Support Manager 
• Reconciling accounts
• Work on end of year accounts and support monthly management accounts
• Running weekly payroll for our temporary workers
• Dealing with pay queries from our temporary workers
• Resolving all queries in a timely and firm manner
• Work towards achieving monthly targets set by management
