Do you have experience in finance administration and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships?
ASA are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to work alongside a large-scale client in the public sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient processing of financial transactions and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
- Process customer and supplier invoices.
- Match invoices to purchase orders.
- Assist with invoice queries.
- Process expenses.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Set up new customers and suppliers.
- Provide assistance and advice to department budget holders.
- Support internal and external audit reviews.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven administrative experience in a multi-disciplinary business operations environment, ideally in finance.
- Knowledge and experience in processing supplier and customer invoices.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently, plan, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative approach to working within a small, busy team.
- Flexible approach to learning and problem-solving.
- Basic understanding of core accounting principles.
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection.
- High-level customer service skills with a helpful and flexible attitude.
- Professional communication skills for dealing with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
